NCI
Every mission deserves the power of AI

Hi, I’m Paul, CEO of NCI
With CACI, Lockheed Martin, and GE Capital background, I knew how to run and build companies but my experience at NCI was very different. Few weeks into my new job as CEO of NCI I sponsored an audit that led to the discovery of an 11-year embezzlement scheme. That is one of the worst nightmare situations that can happen for a new CEO. As we woke up to this new reality, HIG Private Equity group acquired NCI.
I wanted to focus on the future and not just on any future: I wanted to turn NCI into an AI tech firm.
The Vision is Born in Adversity
While working on the turnaround plan for NCI, I realized that the world was changing. A powerful artificial intelligence revolution was on the horizon. It was going to change the world. I realized that there was no point in taking NCI back to its state prior to when its legal troubles began.
I observed that companies in our industry, like Palantir, have been able to successfully transition from legacy government contracting space to the tech space. In doing so they created tremendous value for the government and for their shareholders. What has been done once can be done again.
When I informed the HIG Group (Private Equity firm) that NCI will be an AI company, they said they weren’t buying an AI firm. Six board meetings later everyone, including HIG, realized that NCI had become a powerful AI platform company in the world. NCI is changing the way the world buys and implements AI.
AI that Brings Organizations Together
I hired a top team, and we began creating the world’s first AI as a Service platform designed in accordance with how humans work.
I realized that while there were many AI platforms, they were all “use case based” and none brought organizations together so that transformation and automation can become an enterprise-wide collaborative effort. We were not interested in building point solution AI that increases risk for organizations. We wanted to a build a true enterprise platform where AI is scaled and shared and is developed with organizational goals in mind.
The journey was hard, and we had to overcome technological, cultural, educational, regulatory, and other hurdles – all while making sure our core revenues stay strong.
Today, as our revenue composition changes from services only to service/license and our license revenue growth surpasses of many tech firms, we are humbled to say that we are the only company in the world that offers a comprehensive AIaaS platform that is designed in accordance with how humans work.
Finally, I wanted to build an AI platform that is all built domestically. In a world marked with geopolitical shift, we understand the national security interests of our country. We are enabling America to automate at the speed of innovation. The revolution has begun.
